The heart’s real intentions are like deep water, but a
man of understanding can draw them out.
Proverbs 20:5
If someone asked me to describe myself in the fewest number of words, I’d say I’m a calm, insightful, artistic and optimistic person. I’m also a broken follower of Christ. Just like you, I’m a weak person in need of a Savior.
Why would you want counsel from such a person? Because I know I don’t have all the answers. God’s Word has so much more to offer than I do, and so I work with my clients to find solutions there. God has made good promises to people who have questions, and He loves to reveal those answers.
Oh! I almost forgot (not really), I’m a family man.
This is our clan in So Cal: Mark and April Brandes, our daughter-in-love Bre Cuellar, grandson Luke, granddaughter Emma, daughter Kelly Hartman and son-in-law, Andrew Hartman.
Bre came to live with us when she was fifteen and has been a part of the Brandes Clan ever since. We have another daughter-in-love on the East Coast...Katherine lived with April and me for a while, also starting when she was fifteen, and just recently came back into our lives. Life is so interesting and surprising!
O.K. true confessions, I’m also a writer. After seven years I finished my first book, Why We Hide. You can read a few chapters here on the website. I’m also currently working on a second book, specifically on shame. The new book is titled Who Told You That You Were Naked?
Enough about me…let’s talk about you.
